ボーディングスクールのサマープログラム
ボーディングスクールに興味はあっても全く知らない世界に行く決心をするのは不安もあり、中々踏み切れないかもしれません。ボーディングスクールの中には6月から8月にかけて、短期プログラムです実施する学校が多くあります。夏休みを利用してサマープログラムに参加してボーディングスクールを体験してみましょう。
申込みは前年の11月下旬からその年の春先ぐらいまでで、人気のあるプログラムやコースは定員に達するのも早いので、早めの申し込みをお勧めします。
申込みには、願書の他、現在通っている学校の先生のrecommendation(推薦状)、成績、TOEFLなどによる英語力の判定結果とエッセイが必要なプログラムもありますので、早めのご準備をお勧めいたします。またアメリカでは必要な予防接種が州によって定められていますので、合格が決まると所定の予防接種を受ける必要がありますし、医師による英文の健康診断書の提出が必要になります。

世界中から参加する新しい友達と共に、普段その学校の生徒達の暮らしている寮に住み、ダイニングホールで食事をして、その学校の教師の受け持つ授業を受けることができます。親元を離れて生活することで達成感や自信がつき、精神面でも大きく成長することができます。
